A manager at a City Gear, a men’s apparel store, was shot after confronting two men who were trying to steal items from the store Saturday night.
The incident occurred at the store’s location in southwest Houston at 11092 Fondren.
Around 7:30 p.m., two male suspects entered the business, browsed for several minutes and then attempted to leave without paying for merchandise, according to the police report. The manager confronted the suspects and then asked them to leave the store.
As the two suspects walked to their vehicle, they continued to argue with the store manager. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the manager several times.
The suspects then fled. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the manager dead.
